Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Last updated: October 11, 2026
1. Purpose & Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) defines the prohibited activities on all hardware, networks, and virtualized containers operated by FlashInfra. This policy protects our Indian network peering, our customers' uptime, and compliance with Indian telecommunication and cyber laws.
2. Strictly Prohibited Activities
Engaging in any of the following activities will result in immediate service termination without notice or refund:
- Denial of Service (DDoS/DoS) Attacks: Originating, facilitating, participating in, or relaying volumetric or Layer 7 denial-of-service attacks from any of our nodes.
- Network Abuse & Scanning: Unauthorized port scanning, vulnerability probing, packet sniffing, IP spoofing, or running open proxies and Tor exit nodes.
- Brute-Force & Credential Stuffing: Executing automated dictionary attacks or brute-force scripts against external servers or databases.
- Malware & Botnets: Hosting, distributing, or executing Trojan horses, rootkits, ransomware, botnet Command & Control (C2) servers, or keyloggers.
- Unapproved Crypto Mining: Operating cryptocurrency miners, Proof-of-Work hashing scripts, or background blockchain validators that degrade node CPU cycles.
- Spam & Unsolicited Bulk Messaging: Sending unsolicited mass marketing emails (SPAM), email harvesting, or hosting phishing landing pages.
- Copyright Infringement & Warez: Hosting or torrenting copyrighted material, pirated software, cracked games, or unlicensed intellectual property.
- Illegal or Unlawful Content: Hosting child exploitation material, hate speech, terrorism propaganda, or content violating the Information Technology Act of India.
- Stolen or Leaked Data: Storing stolen credentials, leaked databases, credit card dumps, or personal identifiable information (PII) on our database servers.
- Abuse via Cloud VPS / Windows RDP: Utilizing remote desktop sessions to launch attacks, run unauthorized torrent nodes, or bypass geo-restrictions maliciously.
3. Enforcement & Immediate Suspension
FlashInfra maintains automated network anomaly detection across our upstream fiber links. If our NOC identifies network abuse originating from your instance:
- The offending container or VM will be suspended immediately to preserve upstream integrity.
- Law enforcement agencies and CERT-In will be cooperated with in cases of severe cyber-attacks or illegal operations.
- No refunds, service credits, or data retrievals are provided to accounts terminated under this policy.
4. Reporting Abuse
To report abuse originating from our IP ranges, please email our security desk at [email protected] with relevant timestamps and log headers.
